Privacy Policy

Shorts Studio processes videos, audio, transcripts, face detections, camera plans, editing decisions, and exports locally on the user's iPhone or Mac.

Data collection

Shorts Studio does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, account, or cloud-processing service. Source media, transcripts, face analysis, editing decisions, and exports are never uploaded by Shorts Studio.

Permissions

On iPhone, Photos access is used only when the user selects a source video, and Speech Recognition access is used only to create a transcript on the device. On Mac, access is limited to files and export folders explicitly selected by the user.

Model downloads on Mac

The Mac app downloads required speech, alignment, and editorial model files over HTTPS during first setup. These requests retrieve static model files and necessarily expose standard network information such as the device IP address to the hosting provider. No source video, transcript, editing decision, or user-created content is included in a model download request.

Local storage

Projects, imported media, edits, downloaded models, and working files are stored in the app's local container. Exports are written only to a location selected by the user. Local data is removed when the user deletes it or uninstalls the app, subject to operating-system backup behavior.
